<br />ATTACHMENT "A" <br /> <br />~1555 <br /> <br />h) Availabilitv of suitable existina towers. other structures or alternative technoloaies not reauirina <br />the use of towers or structures. No new tower shall be permitted unless the applicant <br />demonstrates to the reasonable satisfaction of the County Soard of Supervisors that no existina <br />tower. structure. or alternative technoloav can accommodate the applicant's proposed antenna. <br />Evidence submitted to demonstrate that no existina tower structure or alternative technoloav can <br />accommodate the apolicant's proDQsed antenna mav consist of anv of the followina: <br /> <br />i) Certification of a licensed enaineer that no existina towers or structures are located <br />within the aeoaraphic area which meet the applicant's enaineerina reauirements: that <br />existina towers or structures are not of sufficient heiaht to meet the applicant's <br />enaineerina reauirements: existina towers or structures do not have sufficient structural <br />strenath to support the apolicant's proposed antenna and related eauipment: or the <br />applicant's proposed antenna would cause electromaanetic interference with the <br />antenna on the existina towers or structures. or the antenna on the existina towers or <br />structures would cause interference with the applicant's proDQsed antenna. <br /> <br />jj) The fees. costs. or contractual provisions reauired bv the owner in order to share an <br />existina tower or structure or to adapt an existina tower or structure for sharina are <br />unreasonable. Costs exceedina new tower development are presumed unreasonable. <br />An applicant submittina evidence under this subsection must provide specific information <br />concernina the anticipated fees. costs. or contractual provisions reauired bv the owner in <br />order to share an existina tower or structure or to adapt an existina tower or structure <br />and the anticipated costs of new tower development. <br /> <br />ijj) The applicant demonstrates that there are other limitina factors that render colocation on <br />an existina tower or other structure unreasonable. <br /> <br />iv) The applicant demonstrates that an alternative technoloav that does not reauire the use <br />of towers or structures. such as cable microcell network usina multiple low-powered <br />transmitters/receivers attached to a wireline svstem. is unsuitable. Costs of alternative <br />technoloav that exceed new tower or antenna development shall be presumed to render <br />the technoloav unsuitable. <br /> <br />15) Administrative Approval. The tower and antenna uses described in this section are permitted <br />either as principal or accessory uses upon issuance of an administrative approval. <br /> <br />a) The Suildina Inspector may administrativelv approve the uses listed in this section. <br /> <br />b) Each applicant for administrative approval shall applv to the Suildina Inspector bv providina the <br />information set forth in Section . Subsection 5 and a non-refundable fee as established bv <br />resolution of the County Board of Supervisors for the costs of reviewina the application. <br /> <br />c) The Suildina Inspector shall review the application for administrative approval and determine if <br />the proposed use complies with this article. <br /> <br />d) The Buildina Inspector shall respond to each such application within 60 (sixtv) davs after <br />receivina it bv either approvina or denvina the application. <br /> <br />e) In connection with anv such administrative approval. the Suildina Inspector mav. in order to <br />encouraae the use of monopoles. administrativelv allow the reconstruction of an existina tower to <br />monopole construction. <br /> <br />Resolution Amending County Zoning Resolution <br />P!1af'!~ <br />
