<br />(01131 <br /> <br />PROCLAMA TION <br /> <br />NATIONAL RECORDS AND INFORMATION <br />MANAGEMENT WEEK <br />APRIL 1ST TO APRIL 7TH, 2001 <br /> <br />Whereas, the efficient and cost effective management of <br />records and information is critical to every business, government <br />agency, and organization facing the complexities of the information <br />explosion, customer service, competition and globalization; and <br /> <br />Whereas, the rapidly changing technologies for storing <br />information are expanding the amounts of information that can be <br />acquired, with increased longevity; and <br /> <br />Whereas, the need to make information available in response <br />to constituents' needs and to use information to create value and to <br />plan strategically is the driving force in today's world; and <br /> <br />Whereas, control of records and information is necessary to <br />bring people and government closer together, to expand business, to <br />reduce risk and liability as well as comply with global standards; and <br /> <br />Whereas the citizens of Hall County should recognize the <br />important service performed by records and information <br />professionals; <br /> <br />Now therefore, we declare April 1-7, 2001 as National Records <br />and Information Management Week in Hall County and we <br />encourage all citizens to recognize this event. <br /> <br />~~~ <br /> <br />Ricnard Hartman Chairman <br />Hall County Board of Supervisor <br />
