Motion carried. <br /> <br />BOARD ASSISTANT'S REPORT: Board assistant Stacey Ruzicka included the progress <br />report. The computer committee and the NACO Central District meeting will be this <br />week. The park committee, Bud, Dick and Box are to meet to discuss sewer and water <br />problems at the park on Friday at 1: 15. She also reported that Howard Maxon sent over <br />some flood awareness information. The snowfall this year was the same as 1993 when <br />Hall County experienced flooding. <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBER'S REPORT: Logan - He attended the long range planning meetings <br />and the public hearing on the RDX at the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant. He also <br />attended the Leadership Tomorrow luncheon. <br /> <br />Jeffries - He attended the public works committee meeting. He reported on information <br />he received concerning the septic systems at the Hall County Park. He stated that there <br />is a new system that uses two-inch pipes to collect the sewage and runs it through a <br />grinder system and then pumps it to collection pits. The cost runs $51.00 a foot this <br />would not be much more than a complete new system. He attended a building and <br />grounds and a conditional use committee meeting concerning the renewal for Mid- <br />Nebraska Speedway they discussed changing the permit from a 5-year permit to a 10- <br />year permit. He also added that the county has not enforced state regulations on septic <br />systems in the county. He recommended that a letter be sent to Max Boersen informing <br />him of the state regulations on new and replacement systems and if the property is sold <br />it would need to comply with the state regulations. The county needs to follow the state <br />law. <br /> <br />Lancaster - She stated that at the last meeting the board approved a resolution to hold <br />annual onsite visit at HeadStart. The next county board meeting will hold the onsite visit <br />at Senior High School and the board will have to dismiss no later than11 :00 a.m. March <br />27. She also mentioned the memo in the packet regarding LB 142 regarding municipal <br />counties and she encouraged the board member to review the information. <br /> <br />Arnold - He attended the long-range planning meeting and the HeadStart self- <br />assessment meeting. He also spoke at Leadership Tomorrow. <br /> <br />Humiston - He attended the weed board meeting and they are taking applications for the <br />secretary position. He attended the Economic Development meeting and today and <br />tomorrow he will set in on the interviews for the new president. <br /> <br />Eriksen - He attended the pasture seminar at the Extension Office given by Rob Schultz <br />the Weed Control Superintendent. He stated it was a good session. He attended the <br />public hearing at CMP on the RDX contamination. He attended the NRD meeting on <br />the proposed settlement with the Hall County Park. He attended the CASA meeting and <br />they have 22 cases with 52 children. Merrick County has expressed interest in a <br />program. He also attended the chamber meeting, Leadership Tomorrow meeting and <br />the Board of Health meeting. They are working on hiring a new director. <br /> <br />Hartman - He said he attended several public works committee meetings and the <br />building and grounds meeting on the water problems at the Hall County Park. <br />
