<br />y01030 <br /> <br />1 a. INTRODUCTION OF FRED GOSS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF STUHR MUSEUM: <br />Lancaster introduced Fred Goss the new executive director of Stuhr Museum. Mr. Goss <br />stated that he has been on the job for seven days and is excited about Stuhr Museum <br />and Grand Island. He has been conducting one on one interview with the staff at the <br />museum and hopes to meet with the community leaders soon. He wants to address the <br />attendance at the museum and look at the visitor perspective. The transportation <br />committee is studying the issue with the train and he realizes this is a very emotional <br />issue for the community but he wants to do what is best for the museum. He stated that <br />he has not had time to study the finances but will do so soon. <br /> <br />1 b BETTY CURTIS DISCUSSION ON HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE <br />COLLECTION DAY FOR 2001: Betty Curtis, director of Clean Community Systems <br />stated she is making application for the hazardous waste grant again this year and is <br />requesting the $3,000.00 support from Hall County. She reported that Hall County had <br />515 vehicles and 815 households participated in the collection last year. She now has <br />25 counties that participate in the hazardous waste collection. She will have nine or ten <br />sites in the various counties. Logan made a motion and Lancaster seconded to approve <br />the request for the support of $3,000.00 from Hall County. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, <br />Humiston, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Logan all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />2a COUNTY A TIORNEY APPROVE AMENDED EASEMENT FROM US ARMY FOR <br />ALDA ROAD: County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz stated that this resolution amends the <br />easement that was omitted on a portion of the Aida Road right-of-way. Lancaster made <br />a motion and Jeffries seconded to approve Resolution #01-0007 authorizing the <br />acceptance of the Department of the Army for easement no. DACA45-2-99-6157. <br />Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Logan all voted <br />yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br />
