<br /> <br />("20020513 <br /> <br />Joint Procfamation <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the United States of America suffered the loss of 3,,042 lives in an <br />unprovoked attack upon its homeland on September 11, 2001, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Congress and the President of the United States of America have <br />passed and signed into law a measure setting aside September 11, 2002, and all <br />succeeding anniversaries of this tragedy as Patriot Day, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the people of Grand Island and Hall Coun~ Nebraska, wish to <br />observe Patriot Day, remembering all who perished on September 11, 2001, and <br />recalling the sacrifices of all who served them in their time of need, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the people of Grand Island and Hall Coun~Nebraska, wish to pay <br />tribute to those who lost their lives, and recognize all who have chosen to serve <br />their fellow citizens in these times. <br /> <br />THEREFORE, we, as members of the Hall County Board of Supervisors and <br />Mayor of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, do hereby jointly proclaim <br />September 11,2002, as a ''Day. of Caring," encouraging our citizens to remember <br />those who lost their lives serving the just causes of freedom, and to recognize <br />those who continue to serve and protect our community today. <br /> <br />THERETO, we affix our signatures on the 10th day of September in the year of <br />our Lord 2002. <br /> <br />~.eu~if;~~rf!4y1h <br /> <br />Pamela Lancaster, Chair <br /> <br />Hallco.:;:MQ4 <br /> <br />A~ Mula J.
