<br />{20020331 <br /> <br />BOARD ASSISTANT'S REPORT - Stacy Ruzicka included her progress report and <br />reminded the board members that the public defender organization will meet at 1 :00 <br />a.m. and that there will be a computer committee meeting at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow and <br />Senior Citizens will meet at 12:00 a.m. <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBERS REPORT - Hartman - He stated that he would have a report under <br />new business. He encouraged people to file protests. <br /> <br />Humiston - He attended the audit committee meeting, the Weed Control meeting and a <br />meeting at City Hall on the fiber optics connection. <br /> <br />Eriksen - He attended the district health board organizational meeting and discussion <br />was held on when the new board will take over. He also attended to comprehensive <br />development meeting. <br /> <br />Logan - He attended several CWA negotiation meetings. <br /> <br />Jeffries - He also attended several CWA negotiation meetings and the public works <br />budget meeting. He attended the building and ground meeting and the park committee <br />meeting. The conditional use committee met concerning the sludge application from <br />Conagra. There will be a public haring at the next meeting concerning the conditional <br />use permit application. <br /> <br />Arnold - The public defender organization meeting was rescheduled for later in June. <br />The state has budgeted money to reimburse counties on the costs of the public <br />defender. If the office is certified they can receive reimbursements for 25% of the cost of <br />the services. But they would have to charge the going rate and it is questionable if it <br />would do any good. <br /> <br />Lancaster - She attended the audit committee meeting and she also stated that Carla <br />Kocher has been with Midland Area Agency on Aging for one year and is doing a good <br />job. She also attended the Shrine Circus and stated that is was a good production. <br /> <br />NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS - Hartman stated he was contacted concerning the <br />mowing of the right-of-way at the airport and questioned who is responsible. This will be <br />discussed at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 12:30 a.m. the next meeting will be June 25,2002 at 9:00 a.m. <br /> <br /> <br />REMINDER: The County Board meetings may be viewed on GITV Cable Channel 6 and <br />UHF Channel 56 Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. and Friday at 8:00 a.m. <br /> <br />
