<br />director and Bonnie Arnold is the fiscal officer for this grant. This funding is through the <br />Department of Correctional Services, Office of Community Justice. This request will be <br />for $48,818.20. These funds will have to be applied for every year. She stated that they <br />have also applied for a three-year grant. Arnold made a motion and Hartman seconded <br />to approve the grant application for Central Nebraska Drug Court and authorize them to <br />sign. Chief of Police Kyle Hetrick and a representative from the Nebraska State Patrol <br />were present and stated that they are supportive of the drug court program and are <br />excited to start using this program. The state patrol has offered a vehicle and a trooper <br />to assist the drug court. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Lancaster and Logan all <br />voted yes and none voted no with Jeffries absent. Motion carried. r2 0020150 <br /> <br />18 APPROVE MANAGER'S LICENSE FOR GRAND ISLAND SADDLE CLUB FOR <br />TIMOTHY BROWN - The application was submitted to the Nebraska Liquor Control <br />Commission and forwarded to the county board for approval. The Hall County Sheriff <br />did the investigation and stated there was no reason not to approve the request. Arnold <br />made a motion and Humiston seconded to approve the application for manager by <br />Timothy G. Brown for the Grand Island Saddle Club. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, <br />Humiston, Lancaster and Logan all voted yes and none voted no with Jeffries absent. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />17 DISCUSS AND APPROVE RESOLUTION FOR SURPLUS PROPERTY AT PUBLIC <br />WORKS DEPARTMENT - The public works department would like to dispose of surplus <br />property that they have laying around. Marsha Medbery worked with County Attorney <br />Jerry Janulewicz on the resolution. It states that surplus property cannot be sold to <br />employees. Property that is sold must have a value of less than $500.00. Discussion <br />was held and the board requested that the wording be clarified concerning the sales to <br />employees they requested it to read "non auction sales." Board Assistant Stacy Ruzicka <br />stated she would make the change so the resolution can be approved. Logan made a <br />motion and Humiston seconded to approve Resolution #02-0018 authorize the sale of <br />surplus county property. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Lancaster and Logan all <br />voted yes and none voted no with Jeffries absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #02-JlOl<6 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SURPLUS COUNTY PROPERTY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County Purchasing Act provides that the County Board may authorize a county <br />employee or official to sell surplus county property having a value of less than five hundred dollars that is <br />obsolete or not useable by the county; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors desires the authorize the sale of such property <br /> <br />NOW BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The Hall County Highway Superintendent, hereinafter referred to as the "Superintendent" be hereby <br />authorized and directed to sell items of personal property of the Highway Department which are obsolete or <br />not useable by the county having a value of less than five hundred dollars. Said sale or sales may be <br />conducted in such manner as determined by the Superintendent. Non auction sales cannot be made to any <br />department employee or immediate family members of any department employee. <br /> <br />2. The Superintendent shall make a written report to the County Board within thirty days after the end of the <br />fiscal year reflecting, for each transaction, the item sold, the name and address of the purchaser, and the total <br />amount paid by the purchase for each item, and the auctioneer's fee if applicable. <br /> <br />3. The money generated by any such sales, less the auctioneer's sales commissions if applicable, shall be <br />payable to the county treasurer for deposit into the Road Fund. <br />
