<br />Y03714 <br /> <br />11:46 a.m. completed executive session regarding 9a union negotiations <br /> <br />11:47 a.m. executive session regarding 9b contract negotiations <br /> <br />12:25 a.m. Rye made a motion and Jeffries seconded to go out of executive session. <br />Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all voted yes and none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />No action was necessary on the executive sessions. <br /> <br />6 DISCUSS AND APPROVE CHRISTMAS EVE HOURS - Chairman Lancaster stated <br />the board members received information from other counties concerning closings for the <br />Christmas holiday. She stated that the county has closed at noon on Christmas Eve in <br />the past and last year when the Board attempted to give extra time off, the courts were <br />open and some offices were required to pay overtime. Stacy Ruzicka contacted Judge <br />Livingston and he was agreeable to closing at noon on Christmas Eve and remaining <br />open on December 26th. Discussion was held. <br /> <br />Arnold stated that he does not oppose the offices closing that can legally do so, but the <br />employees will have to use vacation to take it off. He stated that he uses vacation so he <br />can be off on or around Christmas. <br /> <br />Jeffries questioned if everyone in the office takes vacation then the whole office could <br />close. <br /> <br />Lancaster stated that the county office will be open and the elected official can make the <br />decision. <br /> <br />Arnold made a motion and Rye seconded to close on Christmas Eve day at noon and <br />the county office will be open for business as usual on December 26th. The staffing <br />required to keep the offices open on the 26th will be up to the elected or appointed <br />official. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all voted yes <br />and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />10. DISCUSS FUNDING REQUEST FROM HALL COUNTY CHAPLAINCY CORPS - <br />The Chaplains Corps was award funding form the keno application process and they are <br />requesting an additional $100.00. <br /> <br />Hartman made a motion and Jeffries seconded to approve the additional $100.00 <br />funding request for the Chaplains Corp. Eriksen stated that he will be voting no because <br />they received keno funding. <br /> <br />Arnold stated that this is a good agency and the county supported them with the keno <br />funding. He questioned if other agencies could contribute to them at this time. This may <br />have been a letter that was sent to all agencies. <br /> <br />Jeffries stated that the county funded them with the $500.00 keno grant and on the next <br />keno funding requests the county could fund them at the$600.00 request. <br /> <br />4 <br />
