<br />- <br /> <br />r 0363;r; <br /> <br />11: 10 Erickson made the motion and Humiston seconded to enter into Board of <br />Equalization Scott Arnold, Jim Eriksen, Dick Hartman, Bob Humiston, Bud Jeffries, <br />Pamela Lancaster and Robert Rye all voted. 7 yes 0 no Motion carried. <br /> <br />11 :13 Jeffries made the motion and Hartman seconded it to return to regular session. <br />Scott Arnold, Jim Eriksen, Dick Hartman, Bob Humiston, Bud Jeffries, Pamela Lancaster <br />and Robert Rye all voted. 7 yes 0 no Motion carried. <br /> <br />#18 Discussion on well contamination in the area southwest of New Holland and Chief <br />Industries. It has been the discovery of dangerous levels of well contamination in that <br />area. Jeffries asked the county and city enter into an agreement to do sporadic testing <br />of wells in that area. The current cost of testing a well as about 160.00 a site. Jeffries <br />asked Ericksen to work with the health department for random testing and that the <br />county pays the cost of variable well testing in the area and return with a resolution in <br />two weeks with such an agreement between the Heath Department and the county. <br />Ericksen said that he was willing to work with the Health Department in detecting the <br />problem as determined by the health department. Jeffries made the motion and <br />Hartman seconded it that the county would pay the sporadic testing of wells in the area <br />in question. Scott Arnold, Jim Eriksen, Dick Hartman, Bob Humiston, Bud Jeffries, <br />Pamela Lancaster and Robert Rye all voted. 7 yes 0 no Motion carried. <br /> <br />#19 Flu shots for county employees.- Jeffries made the motion to approve that the <br />county pay the cost for employees to receive flu shots for this flu season and Arnold <br />seconded it. Scott Arnold, Jim Eriksen, Dick Hartman, Bob Humiston, Bud Jeffries, <br />Pamela Lancaster and Robert Rye all voted. 7 yes 0 no Motion carried. <br /> <br />Committee reports <br />Hartman - none <br />Humiston- GIS, Weed Board, and Computer Committee Meetings <br />Ericksen - none <br />Rye- none <br />Jeffries - none <br />Arnold - Computer Committee, Long Range Planning <br />Lancaster - Personnel and Employment Seminar <br /> <br />County Board Assistant - no report <br /> <br />Old Business - Arnold asked the board about the Mid-Plains contract being updated. <br />Jeffries said that we do not do the improvements on the building so therefore we do <br />charge them rent. Hartman reported that Mid-Plains had just spent 30,00.00 on HAVC <br />on the building. Lancaster asked for a group of three to serve on the committee. It was <br />recommended that Hartman, Humiston and Jeffries serve on the committee, Jeffries <br />declined, Lancaster will then serve on the committee. <br /> <br />11 :45 Ericksen made the motion to enter into executive session, seconded by Rye. <br />Scott Arnold, Jim Eriksen, Dick Hartman, Bob Humiston, Bud Jeffries, Pamela Lancaster <br />and Robert Rye all voted. 7 yes 0 no Motion carried. <br />
