<br />F03548 <br /> <br />16 COMMENCE AUDIT AND APPROVAL OF BI WEEKLY PAY CLAIMS AND <br />REGULAR CLAIMS - The board members reviewed the claims and Hartman made a <br />motion and Humiston seconded to approve the claims and authorize the clerk to pay. <br />Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all voted yes and none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Further discussion was held on the job safety analysis. Some of the requirements were <br />questioned and Lancaster asked if the board wanted to send this back to the safety <br />committee for further review. Eriksen stated that these are only recommendations and <br />he wants to leave it as it stands. Arnold suggested that the wording on the sign off sheet <br />may need to be changed. Lancaster stated that some of it is only common sense. Bob <br />Rye also suggested that it be returned to committee. Eriksen stated that he does not <br />want to rescind the original motion. He suggested just changing the receipt that the <br />employees sign. <br /> <br />Jeffries made a motion and Hartman seconded to rescind the original motion to approve <br />the "Job Safety Analysis". Arnold, Hartman Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all <br />voted yes and Eriksen voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Hartman made a motion and Humiston seconded to refer the "Job Safety Analysis" back <br />to the safety committee for further study. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, <br />Lancaster and Rye all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Arnold stated that there are guideline and recommendations and do not dictate what is <br />to be done, thee safety committee relies on the department heads to enforce these <br />recommendations. <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD ASSISTANT'S REPORT - Board assistant Stacey Ruzicka request <br />that the board members have the personal evaluation back to her by September 3. She <br />reminded them of the GIS committee meeting and stated that the election committee <br />meeting will need to be rescheduled. <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS - Hartman - he stated that he has attended the budget <br />meetings and several other meetings. <br /> <br />Humiston - no report <br /> <br />Eriksen - He reported that the county government day committee has met and county <br />government day will be November 4. <br /> <br />Rye - no report <br /> <br />Jeffries - He also attended the county government day meeting, the personal committee <br />meeting and he also attended the ceremony to dedicate the historical marker for the <br />b017 crash. <br /> <br />Arnold - no report but he is looking forward to the meetings slowing down. <br /> <br />Lancaster - She reported that the Senior Citizen Center is working on plans for the new <br />building and she also attended the Midland Area Agency on Aging meeting. They are <br /> <br />5 <br />
