<br />F 03f12~ <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING JULY 1, 2003 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met July 1, 2003, by published call in the county <br />board meeting room, 121 South Pine, Grand Island. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER- The meeting was called to order Chairman Pamela Lancaster <br /> <br />INVOCATION - Invocation was given by Chairman Pamela Lancaster. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison <br /> <br />ROLL CALL - Present on roll call were Scott Arnold, Jim Eriksen, Bob Humiston, Bud <br />Jeffries, Pamela Lancaster and Robert Rye. Hartman was absent. Also present were <br />County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz and news media representatives from the Grand <br />Island Independent and KRGI. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA - Arnold made a motion and Jeffries seconded to approve the <br />following by consent agenda - <br />1. Accept and place on file the minutes of the June 20 meeting <br />2. 5a Approve Resolution #03-0041 for setting speed limits on Stolley Park Road <br />3. 8 Accept and place on file the Keno Audit <br />4. 10 Place on file the tort claim from Kira Handley <br />5. 24 Accept and place on file the Hall County Treasurer's Miscellaneous Receipts <br />6. 25 Accept and place on file communications as received <br />Arnold, Eriksen, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all voted yes and none voted no, <br />with Hartman absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 03-0041 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION SETTING AND ESTABLISHING A MAXIMUM LAWFUL SPEED OF <br />50 MILES PER HOUR FOR VEHICULAR TRAFFIC ON STOLLEY PARK ROAD <br />FROM THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND WEST TO ITS <br />INTERSECTION WITH ENGLEMAN ROAD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors received complaints from residents of <br /> <br />Hall County concerning the present speed limits on Stolley Park Road from the <br /> <br />corporate limits of the City of Grand Island West to its intersection with Engelman Road, <br /> <br />all within Hall County: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such complaints prompted the need for further consideration of the <br /> <br />speed limit upon said segment of the above-described county road: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as speed survey was conducted by the Hall County Highway Department <br /> <br />concerning vehicular traffic upon the above-described county road and, as a result of said survey <br />
