Sheriff Watson stated that County Attorney Jerry <br />Janulewicz reviewed the contracts and all of the city attorney's from the villages have <br />approved the contracts. <br /> <br />Jeffries made a motion and Eriksen seconded to approve the Cairo law enforcement <br />contract for 600 hours with the total amount of $12,930.00. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, <br />Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Jeffries made a motion and Eriksen seconded to approve the Aida law enforcement <br />contract for 900 hours with a total amount of $20,700.00. <br /> <br />Hartman requested discussion. He questioned the number of papers that are served in <br />Grand Island and if the county patrols in Grand Island. Sheriff Watson stated that they <br />are required by state statute to deliver paper and they do not patrol the city streets. He <br />stated that of the 3,200 traffic citations Hall County only issued 103 and they will assist <br />any agency that requests assistance. Eriksen stated that the communities were <br />comfortable with the contracts and they already approved them. <br /> <br />The vote was taken on the motion to approve the Aida law enforcement contract. <br />Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all voted yes and none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />7 HALL COUNTY COMPUTER SYSTEM UPDATES - Will Bennett with ABACUS and <br />Dave Arnold were present to go over the county and interlocal projects. Bennett stated <br />that the off site wireless Grand Island Police Department sites include Plum Street <br />Station, Barr Middle School, Grand Island Senior High School, Walnut Middle School, <br />Westridge Middle School, St. Francis Hospital and the Impound Facility, <br /> <br />The Hall County off-site wireless sites include Doniphan, Wood River and the Cairo sub- <br />station, the task force, the Nebraska State Patrol, the Hall County Roads and Building & <br />Grounds. <br /> <br />They currently have 15 turned up cell sites and two more sites are being installed this <br />week. There is 68% countywide coverage as of June 10, 2003. He explained some of <br />the features of the "rover" system. They will be able to dispatch direct to the cruiser, run <br />name searches, have mug shot available have screen reports from the cruiser and they <br />will have full access to NCJIS. <br /> <br />5 <br />
