<br />r 03258 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION#03-00a 7 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PLACMENT OF A HISTORICAL MARKER <br />NEAR THE CRASH SITE OF AB-17 AIRCRAFT IN 1943 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, County Boards of Supervisors are authorized by Nebraska Revised Statute <br />Section 23-351 to erect suitable monuments or markers of historical sites within their respective <br />counties; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Rosalie Lippincott appeared before the Hall County Board of <br />Supervisors to discuss her desire to place a historical marker marking the site of the crash of a B- <br />17 aircraft in Hall County in 1943, near the location of Husker Highway and 150th Road in <br />Section 36, Township 11, Range 12, and <br />WHEREAS, the design and inscription of said proposed marker has been approved by the <br />Nebraska State Historical Society. <br />NOW BE IT RESOLVED that the placement of a suitable historical marker upon the <br />County Road right of way in section 36, township 11, range 12 is hereby approved provided that <br />the design and inscription ofthe marker is approved by the Nebraska State Historical Society and <br />the marker is provided to the County at no expense to the County.
