<br />\--03231 <br /> <br />stated he would like to commend Bill Stoval and Annette with the Hall County Airport on <br />their work on the proposal to locate "Project Long Bow" at the Hall County Airport. Bill <br />and his staff did an outstanding job of putting this together. <br /> <br />Airport Manager Bill Stoval stated that March 7,2003 was a big event it will bring twenty <br />to thirty million dollars to Hall County to build this project. The community came together <br />to form a true partnership and community effort to pursue this project. There were over <br />120 letters of support. He presented a plaque and a wood model of the long bow <br />helicopter to the county board. <br /> <br />9:50 a.m. held public hearing for taxable status <br /> <br />11: 15 a.m. returned to regular session <br /> <br />8 APPROVE RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING APRIL IS FOR THE ARTS MONTH - Mrs. <br />Barb Duff with Moonshell Arts & Humanities council was present to go over the activities <br />that they are doing. She presented a flag to the board and distributed information to the <br />board members. Moonshell's mission statement is to foster excellence in the arts and <br />humanities. "Crane Mania" this is a way that they earn money for the different activities. <br />Last Saturday art awards were presented to individuals and groups. She distributed a <br />calendar of activities for the month of April. <br /> <br />Jeffries made a motion and Rye seconded to approve Resolution #03-0024 proclaiming <br />April is For the Arts. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye <br />all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. Rye thanked Ms. Duff for her work. <br />He stated that it is nice to have art to fall back on with the economic woes. It is <br />important to our way of life. <br /> <br />PRO CLA MA TION <br />RESOLUTION #03- OOd-.Y <br /> <br />APRIL IS FOR THE ARTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Arts and Humanities contribute to the betterment of our county <br />and the enrichment of our daily lives; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The mission of Moonshell Arts and Humanities Council is to foster <br />excellence in the arts and humanities in Nebraska's heartland through collaboration and <br />coordination with allied organizations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The vision of Moonshell Arts and Humanities council is to playa <br />strategic role in the development, enhancement and promotion of the arts and <br />humanities in the tri-city region of Central Nebraska; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, April is the month to recognize those that teach, support, participate <br />or simply appreciate the Arts and Humanities in Hall County. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that we the Hall County Board of County Board <br />of Supervisors declare <br /> <br />5 <br />
