<br />r:0314Lj <br /> <br />10:15 a.m. DAVE STAROSTKA TO DISCUSS LEASING SPACE FOR HHS <br />FUNCTIONS - Dave Starostka, 176 Ponderosa Court was present and stated that he <br />recently purchased the old Quality Farm Store and has rented part of it to another farm <br />equipment supplier. There is still 36,000 square feet left in the building. He distributed a <br />floor plan of the space showing how it could be remodeled for possible office space for <br />HHS. There would be ample parking available. <br /> <br />Hartman stated that the county has to furnish 5,900 square feet to HHS and the parking <br />would be an asset. <br /> <br />Arnold stated that it would be ideal to consolidate the two HHS offices and they would <br />like to be in one location. Mr. Starostka stated that they could be competitive if the <br />county is looking for space. <br /> <br />Lancaster stated that this would go to the long-range planning committee and they would <br />put out an RFP for the necessary space. <br /> <br />Arnold asked Mr. Starostka if he knew if the state was going to move HHS and he stated <br />that the Grand Island Office is on the top of the list to relocate. Arnold stated that the <br />parking would not be an issue at this location. <br /> <br />Public Participation - Chairman Lancaster requested that Stacy Ruzicka check to see if <br />there was anyone that was interested in speaking for public participation. No one <br />responded. <br /> <br />10:30 a.m. held the board of correction meeting. <br /> <br />16. COMMENCE AUDIT OF BIWEEKLY PAY CLAIMS AND ACTION ON CLAIM AUDIT <br />Jeffries made a motion and Hartman seconded to approve the biweekly pay claims. <br />Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries and Lancaster all voted yes and none <br />voted no with Rye absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />11: 1 0 a.m. held the board of equalization meeting. <br /> <br />BOARD ASSISTANT REPORT - Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka stated that she <br />received late information on the Central District meeting in Kearney on March 20th. If the <br />board members want to attend, the meetings start at 9:00 a.m. She requested that the <br />board members stop after the meeting in the committee meeting room to look at some <br />pictures. Ag-Day will be at Fonner Park today until 2:30 with 4th grade students from <br />area schools if the board members would like to stop. Stacey reported that she, Jerry <br />Janulewicz and Marla Conley will be meeting to address the HIPPA regulations. Hall <br />County will need to be in compliance so there will be resolutions, a steering committee <br />and policy and procedures that will need to be in place. <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS - Hartman - no report <br /> <br />Humiston - no report <br /> <br />Eriksen - He attended the legislative hearing in Lincoln. <br /> <br />5 <br />
