<br />r03098 <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING FEBRUARY 25, 2003 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - Chairman Lancaster called the meeting to order. <br /> <br />INVOCATION - Invocation was given by Chairman Pamela Lancaster. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL - Present on roll call were Scott Arnold, Jim Eriksen, Bud Jeffries, Bob <br />Humiston, Pamela Lancaster, and Robert Rye. Dick Hartman was absent. Also present <br />were representatives from the Grand Island Independent and KRGI. <br /> <br />Arnold made a motion and Jeffries seconded to approve the following items by consent <br />agenda: <br />1. 7 Approve the manager's license for Killefer Chong Sook for Grand Island Saddle <br />Club <br />2. 8 Approve the special designated license for Mid Nebraska Speedway <br />3. 15 Approve the Subdivision agreement for Lowry Subdivision <br />4. 23 Accept and place on file the office report from the public defender <br />5. 24 Accept and place on file the Hall County Treasurer's Miscellaneous Receipts <br />6. 25 Accept and place on file communications as received. <br /> <br />Arnold, Eriksen, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all voted yes and none voted no, <br />with Hartman absent. Motion carried <br /> <br />Surveyor Daniel Hostler was present and he introduced Jeff Palik the new County <br />Engineer to the board members. <br /> <br />Mr. Palik stated that he was originally from Lincoln, Nebraska and had been working for <br />Olssen & Associates. He passed his professional engineer's license that summer. He <br />also has the highway superintendent degree. He was involved on the South Locust <br />project when he worked for Olssen & Associates. He stated he is looking forward to <br />working for the county. <br /> <br />PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chairman Lancaster called for public participation and no <br />one responded. <br />
