HALL COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONER MEETING September 8, 2026 <br /> The Hall County Board of Commissioners convened September 8, 2026, by published <br /> call in the County Board meeting room, 200 South Sycamore, Grand Island, Nebraska. <br /> CALL TO ORDER- The meeting was called to order by Chair Ron Peterson <br /> INVOCATION - Ron Peterson gave the invocation. <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE —The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> ROLL CALL— Present on roll call were Butch Hurst, Pam Lancaster, Gary Quandt, Ron <br /> Peterson, and Jane Richardson and Scott Sorensen. Karen Bredthauer was not <br /> present. County Attorney Marty Klein and Kim Dugan. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW— Chair Peterson read the notice for a public <br /> meeting subject to the open meetings laws of the State of Nebraska. The requirements <br /> for an open meeting are posted on the door to his left and notices are on the front table <br /> for your information. <br /> AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —Chair Peterson stated the affidavit of publication was <br /> received. <br /> Chair Peterson stated that the Hall County Board of Commissioners has the discretion <br /> to change the order of the agenda items. <br /> REQUEST TO RESERVE TIME — Chair Peterson called for anyone regarding a request <br /> to reserve time on a specific agenda item and no one responded. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA- Sorensen made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the <br /> following by consent agenda <br /> 1. Placed on file the minutes of August 25, 2026, meeting <br /> 2. 11 Authorized the chair to sign the Justice Assistance Grant program MOU with <br /> the City of Grand Island <br /> 3. 13 Placed on file the 2026 inventories <br /> 4. 14 Regional Planning set the public hearing for rezoning from Al primary AG <br /> Zone to PUD for Rauert Acres 4th Subdivision for September 22, 202,6 at 10:00 <br /> a.m. <br /> 5. 15 Approved the biweekly pay claims excluding the claim for Don Shuda <br /> 6. 16 Approved the early claims <br /> 7. 17 Placed on file the office report from Hall & Howard County Juvenile Services <br /> 8. 18 Placed on file the Hall County Treasurer's miscellaneous receipts <br /> 9. 19 Communications none on file <br /> 1 <br />
