HALL COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONER MEETING JULY 14, 2026 <br /> The Hall County Board of Commissioners convened July 14, 2026, by published call in <br /> the County Board meeting room, 200 South Sycamore, Grand Island, Nebraska. <br /> CALL TO ORDER- The meeting was called to order by Chair Ron Peterson <br /> INVOCATION - Pam Lancaster gave the invocation. <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE —The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> ROLL CALL— Present on roll call were Karen Bredthauer, Butch Hurst, Pam Lancaster, <br /> Gary Quandt, Ron Peterson, Jane Richardson and Scott Sorensen. County Attorney <br /> Marty Klein. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW— Chair Peterson read the notice for a public <br /> meeting subject to the open meetings laws of the State of Nebraska. The requirements <br /> for an open meeting are posted on the door to his left and notices are on the front table <br /> for your information. <br /> AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —Chair Peterson stated the affidavit of publication was <br /> received. <br /> Chair Peterson stated that the Hall County Board of Commissioners has the discretion <br /> to change the order of the agenda items. <br /> REQUEST TO RESERVE TIME — Chair Peterson called for anyone regarding a request <br /> to reserve time on a specific agenda item and no one responded. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA- Sorensen made a motion and Lancaster seconded to approve <br /> the following by consent agenda. <br /> 1. Placed on file the minutes from June 30, 2026 <br /> 2. 7 Authorized the chair to sign the contract with Saul Ramos for box culverts <br /> 3. 10 Authorized the Cahir to sign the permit for special event at the Hall County <br /> Park <br /> 4. 12 Received the tort claim from Major League Kennels LLC <br /> 5. 16 County Clerk approved the special designed liquor licenses for B & D <br /> Management for wedding reception's for August 8, 15, 22, & 29, 2026 <br /> 6. 6b Approved the special designated liquor license for YZGYZ for wedding <br /> reception for Jully 18, 2026 <br /> 7. 16c Approved the special designated liquor license for OI'Ironsides for July 31, <br /> 2026 <br /> 8. 19 Approved the biweekly pay claims <br /> 9. 20 Approved the early claims <br /> 1 <br />
