COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONER MEETING JUNE 2, 2026 <br /> The Hall County Board of Commissioners convened June 2, 2026, by published call in <br /> the County Board meeting room, 200 South Sycamore, Grand Island, Nebraska. <br /> CALL TO ORDER- The meeting was called to order by Chair Ron Peterson <br /> INVOCATION - Karen Bredthauer gave the invocation. <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE —The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> ROLL CALL — Present on roll call were Karen Bredthauer, Butch Hurst, Pam Lancaster, <br /> Gary Quandt, Ron Peterson, Jane Richardson and Scott Sorensen. Kim Dugan and <br /> County Attorney Marty Kleine were also present. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW— Chair Peterson read the notice for a public <br /> meeting subject to the open meetings laws of the State of Nebraska. The requirements <br /> for an open meeting are posted on the door to his left and notices are on the front table <br /> for your information. <br /> AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —Chair Peterson stated the affidavit of publication was <br /> received. <br /> Chair Peterson stated that the Hall County Board of Commissioners has the discretion <br /> to change the order of the agenda items. <br /> REQUEST TO RESERVE TIME — Chair Peterson called for anyone regarding a request <br /> to reserve time on a specific agenda item and no one responded. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA- Sorensen made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the <br /> following by consent agenda. <br /> 1. Placed on file the minutes from the May 19, 2026, meeting <br /> 2. 5 Set the bid opening for June 30 ,2026 at 10:30 a.m. for 3 concrete box culverts <br /> 3. 6a Approved and authorized the chair to sign the contract with Diamond <br /> Engineering for repairs to the ADA ramp at the Administration Building <br /> 4. 6b Approved and Authorized the chair to sign the maintenance agreement with <br /> Island Heating &Air for all Hall County HVAC equipment <br /> 5. 7a Approved and authorized the chair to sign the addendum to the license <br /> agreement with the City of Grand Island regarding the easement on Courthouse <br /> addition <br /> 6. 11 Approved the printing of the joint public hearing postcards through the state <br /> print shop <br /> 7. 14 Set the public hearing for Hall County Rural Transit for June 30, 2026 at 9:30 <br /> a.m. <br /> 1 <br />
