Lancaster said it is a good idea to address the county application form. PUBLIC PARTICIATION — Leo requested to address the board concerning the union negotiations for the road department. He encouraged the board to consider their wages because they are professionals and do a good job. 16 CLOSED SESSION REGARDING UNION NEGOTIATIONS — Richardson made a motion and Sorensen seconded to go into closed session for union negotiations. Peterson stated there are 2 reasons for a closed session to prevent needless harm or injury to an individual or to protect the public interest. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, Quandt, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. 16 CLOSED SESSION REGARDING UNION NEGOTIATIONS Held closed session from 10:27 am. To 10:50 a.m. Lancaster made a motion and Sorensen seconded to go out of closed session. Peterson stated there were no other subjects discussed, no votes were taken and no action was taken. 17.DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING UNION NEGOTIATIONS Chair Peterson stated there is no action to be taken from the executive session. 23. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING PHOTO COPIER FOR COUNTY TREASURER'S MOTOR VEHICLE DEPARTMENT. — Kim reported that Alaina County Treasurer was able to get a quote for a copier and will be able to purchase it with her remaining budget. Sorensen reminded the board that we have not received any application for the Weed Board vacancies. Tracy Overstreet ask if there were any new members. She needs to have the new members By July 15, 2026, so they could be on the general election ballot. He encouraged the board members to seek out anyone that might be interested.
