HALL COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONER MEETING MAY 5, 2026 <br /> The Hall County Board of Commissioners convened May 5, 2026, by published call in <br /> the County Board meeting room, 200 South Sycamore, Grand Island, Nebraska. <br /> CALL TO ORDER- The meeting was called to order by Chair Ron Peterson <br /> INVOCATION - Butch Hurst gave the invocation. <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE β€” The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> ROLL CALL β€” Present on roll call were Karen Bredthauer, Butch Hurst, Pam Lancaster, <br /> Gary Quandt, Ron Peterson, Jane Richardson and Scott Sorensen. Kim Dugan and <br /> County Attorney Marty Klein were also present. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW- Peterson read the notice for a public meeting <br /> subject to the open meetings laws of the State of Nebraska. The requirements for an <br /> open meeting are posted on the door to his left and notices are on the front table for <br /> your information. <br /> AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION β€”Ron Peterson stated the affidavit of publication was <br /> received. <br /> Chair Peterson stated that the Hall County Board of Commissioners has the discretion <br /> to change the order of the agenda items. <br /> REQUEST TO RESERVE TIME β€” Chair Peterson called for anyone regarding a request <br /> to reserve time on a specific agenda item and no one responded. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA- Sorensen made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the <br /> following by consent agenda. 9b 12 19 <br /> 1. Placed on file the minutes from March 24, 2026, meeting <br /> 2. 9B Approved the quotes from Ennis Flint Inc. for stripping paint <br /> 3. 19 Approved the biweekly pay claims <br /> 4. 12 Placed on file the financial statement and compilation report for Hall County <br /> Keno for march31, 2026 and 2025 <br /> 5. 20 Approved the early claims for <br /> a. Grand Island utilities for $14,839.01 <br /> b. Century Link $ 256.25 <br /> c. Grand Island Utilities $ 954.51 <br /> d. Northwestern $ 163.16 <br /> e. Card Service Center $ 299.99 <br /> f. Wood River Utilities $ 169.43 <br /> g.
