6.DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO AWARD BID FOR REPAIRS TO THE <br /> HANDICAP RAMP AT THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING — Loren reviewed the bid and <br /> recommended to award the bid to Diamond Engineering for $85,850.00. Loren said the <br /> funds are in the Building & Land Fund. <br /> Richardson made a motion and Sorensen seconded to award the bid to Diamond <br /> Engineering, Grand Island, for $85,850.00. Bredthauer, Hust, Peterson, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes, and no one voted no. Lancaster was not <br /> present. Motion carried. <br /> Peterson stated he will appoint a committee to review the Keno grants and the 2026 — <br /> 2027 budget request from First Light Child Advocacy. They need to check with the <br /> organizations if they receive federal or state funds and bring it back in 2 weeks. <br /> Bredthauer made a motion and Quandt seconded to refer these to the committee and <br /> come back in 2 weeks with information. Bredthauer, Hust, Peterson, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes, and no one voted no. Lancaster was not <br /> present. Motion carried. <br /> Sorensen made a motion and Richardson to pull the claim from First Light Advocacy <br /> from the regular claims for clarification. Bredthauer, Hust, Peterson, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes, and no one voted no. Lancaster was not <br /> present. Motion carried. <br /> 30.DISCUSSION & POSSILBE ACTION TO ALLOW THE COUNTY BOARD TO PLACE <br /> 11 FOOT RED MAPEL TREE AT THE HALL COUNTY VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK <br /> AS A LIVING TRUBUTE TO STEVE LANCASTER FOR HIS SERVICE TO HIS <br /> COUNTRY, MEMORIAL SERVICE TO BE HELD MAY 25, 2026 AT 12:15 P.M. Quandt <br /> said he would like to place a 11 foot red maple tree at the Hall County Veteran's park as <br /> a living memorial for Steve Lancaster for his service. The board members all work <br /> together even if there are differences. There would be a tree planting on Memorial Day, <br /> May 25, 2026, at 12:15 a.m. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer second to plant the red maple tree at the Hall <br /> County Veteran's Park on May 25, 2026 at 12:15 a.m. Bredthauer, Hust, Peterson, <br /> Quandt, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes, and no one voted no.
