HALL COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONER MEETING MARCH 24, 2026 <br /> The Hall County Board of Commissioners convened March 24, 2026, by published call <br /> in the County Board meeting room, 200 South Sycamore, Grand Island, Nebraska. <br /> CALL TO ORDER- The meeting was called to order by Chair Ron Peterson <br /> INVOCATION - Karen Bredthauer gave the invocation. <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE —The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> ROLL CALL — Present on roll call were Karen Bredthauer, Butch Hurst, Pam Lancaster, <br /> Gary Quandt, Ron Peterson, Jane Richardson and Scott Sorensen. Kim Dugan and <br /> County Attorney Marty Kleine were also present. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW - Peterson read the notice for a public meeting <br /> subject to the open meetings laws of the State of Nebraska. The requirements for an <br /> open meeting are posted on the door to his left and notices are on the front table for <br /> your information. <br /> AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —Ron Peterson stated the affidavit of publication was <br /> received. <br /> Chair Peterson stated that the Hall County Board of Commissioners has the discretion <br /> to change the order of the agenda items. <br /> REQUEST TO RESERVE TIME — Chair Peterson called for anyone regarding a request <br /> to reserve time on a specific agenda item and no one responded. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA- Sorensen made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the <br /> following by consent agenda. <br /> 1. Placed on file the minutes from March 10, 2026, meeting <br /> 2. 12b)Approved special permit "Nebraska State Fair marathon race series" <br /> scheduled for August 29, 2026 <br /> 3. 13a) Set public hearing for Platte Valley Wood resources for April 21, 20206, at <br /> 9:30am <br /> 4. 15 Approved payment to SCEDD for general administrative services for <br /> 10/2/2025 through 2/28/2026 for $2,903.75 <br /> 5. 16 Approved draw request#1 for CDBG funds & authorize chair to sign <br /> 6. 18 Item pulled-Weed Board Resolution #26-007 <br /> 7. 20 Item pulled and discussed and changed and voted on <br /> 8. 23 Approved Interlocal agreement with Howard County for weed control <br /> superintendent services and authorized board chair to sign <br /> 9. Approved Resolution 26-011 authorizing The Hall County Treasurer to invest <br /> surplus funds for the years of 2026 through 2027 <br />
