HALL COUNTY WEED CONTROL ROBERI' SCl IULTZ - SUPERINTENDENT 2807 W 2' ST GRAND ISLAND, NE 68803 PHONE: 385-5097 3-4-2026 The Hall County Weed Board met on March 4, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. for the monthly meeting. Members present were Chad Gideon, Wayne Foster, Gary Jacoson, Daryl Flarney, Scott Sorenson, and Rob Schultz. The meeting opened at 9:00 a.m. The minutes were approved with a motion by Scott. Daryl seconded. Motion passed. Claims for February were read and approved with a motion by Chad and seconded by Scott. Motion passed. February expenses to date are: $5,355.63 and income was $4,234.50. Public Participation: Flowers are going to be sent to the Francis Hannon Funeral. He served on the weed board for 25 years. Old Business: • Rob presented on noxious and invasive weeds some private applicator trainings on January 30`1', February 18, 19, and 26. • Rob presented at the Platte River Exchange Presentation on phragmites on February 1 It was held virtually with about 50 attendees from Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, and Kansas. New Business: • NDA Reports and Requirements Summary was signed by Wayne. Rob will send that back to the NDA this week. • LB 807 update; was given to the governor to sign. More updates at next meeting. • PVWMA report: Drone Bids are due tomorrow at the PVWMA Meeting. NET grant was signed for a few weeks ago. • Rob gave a report on acres sprayed in Hall County on the Platte River by the Helicopter this past fall. The Helicopter sprayed over$30,000 worth on the river. That figure does not include the drone and airboat spraying that took place. • Spring training recertification is April 1-2 in Kearney. Rob will attend. A motion to adjourn was made by Scott and seconded by Chad G. Motion carried. The next meeting will be held on Monday,April 6,2026,at 9a.m. Gary Jacobson, Secretary
