HALL COUNTY WEED CONTROL <br /> ROBERI' SCl IULTZ - SUPERINTENDENT <br /> 2807 W 2' ST GRAND ISLAND, NE 68803 <br /> PHONE: 385-5097 <br /> 3-4-2026 <br /> The Hall County Weed Board met on March 4, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. for the monthly <br /> meeting. Members present were Chad Gideon, Wayne Foster, Gary Jacoson, Daryl <br /> Flarney, Scott Sorenson, and Rob Schultz. <br /> The meeting opened at 9:00 a.m. The minutes were approved with a motion by Scott. <br /> Daryl seconded. Motion passed. <br /> Claims for February were read and approved with a motion by Chad and seconded by <br /> Scott. Motion passed. February expenses to date are: $5,355.63 and income was <br /> $4,234.50. <br /> Public Participation: Flowers are going to be sent to the Francis Hannon Funeral. He <br /> served on the weed board for 25 years. <br /> Old Business: <br /> • Rob presented on noxious and invasive weeds some private applicator trainings <br /> on January 30`1', February 18, 19, and 26. <br /> • Rob presented at the Platte River Exchange Presentation on phragmites on <br /> February 1 It was held virtually with about 50 attendees from Nebraska, <br /> Colorado, Wyoming, and Kansas. <br /> New Business: <br /> • NDA Reports and Requirements Summary was signed by Wayne. Rob will send <br /> that back to the NDA this week. <br /> • LB 807 update; was given to the governor to sign. More updates at next meeting. <br /> • PVWMA report: Drone Bids are due tomorrow at the PVWMA Meeting. NET <br /> grant was signed for a few weeks ago. <br /> • Rob gave a report on acres sprayed in Hall County on the Platte River by the <br /> Helicopter this past fall. The Helicopter sprayed over$30,000 worth on the river. <br /> That figure does not include the drone and airboat spraying that took place. <br /> • Spring training recertification is April 1-2 in Kearney. Rob will attend. <br /> A motion to adjourn was made by Scott and seconded by Chad G. Motion carried. <br /> The next meeting will be held on Monday,April 6,2026,at 9a.m. <br /> Gary Jacobson, Secretary <br />
