HALL COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONER MEETING FEBRUARY 24, 2026 <br /> The Hall County Board of Commissioners convened February 24, 2026, by published <br /> call in the County Board meeting room, 200 South Sycamore, Grand Island, Nebraska. <br /> CALL TO ORDER- The meeting was called to order by Chair Ron Peterson <br /> INVOCATION -Ron Peterson gave the invocation. <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE β€” The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> ROLL CALL β€” Present on roll call were Karen Bredthauer, Butch Hurst, Pam Lancaster, <br /> Gary Quandt, Ron Peterson, Jane Richardson and Scott Sorensen. Kim Dugan was also <br /> present. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW- Peterson read the notice for a public meeting <br /> subject to the open meetings laws of the State of Nebraska. The requirements for an <br /> open meeting are posted on the door to his left and notices are on the front table for <br /> your information. <br /> AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION β€”Ron Peterson stated the affidavit of publication was <br /> received. <br /> Chair Peterson stated that the Hall County Board of Commissioners has the discretion <br /> to change the order of the agenda items. <br /> REQUEST TO RESERVE TIME β€” Chair Peterson called for anyone regarding a request <br /> to reserve time on a specific agenda item and no one responded. Zack Butz requested <br /> to agenda 4 & 5 regarding the public hearing <br /> CONSENT AGENDA- Sorensen made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the <br /> following by consent agenda. <br /> 1. Placed on file the minutes from February 10, 2026, meeting <br /> 2. 6 Authorized the chair to sign the 2026 Hall County Rural Transportation Title VI <br /> program <br /> 3. 7 Approved to sell a 2014 Ford bus as surplus property by auction company <br /> 4. 8 Set the bid opening for the asphalt overlay project C40 (565) for March 24, <br /> 2026, at 9:30 a.m. <br /> 5. 8b Set the public hearing for the 1 & 6 Road Program for March 24, 2026, at <br /> 10:30 a.m. <br /> 6. 14 Approved the special Designated liquor license for McFarland Family Farms <br /> LLC at Crane Trust Nature Center for March 14, 2026 <br /> 7. 15 Approved the biweekly pay claims <br /> 8. 16 Approved the regular claims <br /> 9. 17 Approved to lower claim #26020052 by $878.62 and refer it to the County <br /> Attorney pending receipt for clarification of the correct supporting documents <br /> 10. 18 Placed on file the office report for December for Hall County Sheriff <br /> 1 <br />
