PRESENTATION & POSSIBLE ACTION WITH SPEECE LEWIS ON <br /> PROJECT C40 (498) BRIDGE #C004003205 REGARDING ENGINEERING <br /> AGREEMENT — Do Robb was present and Chris Lane with Speece/Lewis Engineers <br /> was present. <br /> Mr. Lane stated they offer services for surveying, bridge design, transportation and <br /> hydraulics. He addressed the C40 (498) project for the Wood River bridge and the <br /> need to have the preliminary engineering and bridge design addressed. Mr. Robb said <br /> the county may not get to this for 1 year but it is important to get it started and if the <br /> county would pursue the bipartisan bill this would be ready. They would also have to <br /> add a couple more projects that would equal the $3.2 million dollar costs. This would be <br /> for 2023 and you can keep trying until 2026. <br /> NACO is working on a grant that could help counties pay for the engineering fees for the <br /> bipartisan bill. There will be further updates regarding this. <br /> It was explained that engineering bridges over $100 million could have 3 different pots <br /> of funding. There may be more environmental studies needed but they will have to do <br /> something on this bridge. <br /> Don provided a copy of the proposed engineering agreement and Sarah reviewed it. <br /> He is asking the board to approve the letter of agreement. <br /> 10 <br />
