Brandon Warner with the It Department was also present and said they are struggling to <br /> keep it going. He noted you would have to create a program for this and they are not <br /> programmers. They need to have a program that is more efficient and would have <br /> some record retention and be assessable. It would be nice to have a program on the <br /> laptops in the vehicles. <br /> Sheriff Conrad stated they process 8,000 papers a year and this system is 14 years old <br /> and there is no support for the program. <br /> Deputy County Attorney Sarah Carstensen stated that they will need to be able to file <br /> these documents electronically by January 1st. The responsibilities are changing. <br /> Lancaster ask if they could contact otter counties about their software. Brandon stated <br /> this is a custom program and you have to make sure that there is support for the <br /> software. The county does not have in-house programmers. Sheriff Conrad said other <br /> counties are not willing to share their programs. <br /> This will need to be discussed in executive session. <br /> 5 C.) DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING REQUEST FOR <br /> PROPOSALS FOR CIVIL PROCESSING SOFTWARE FOR THE HALL COUNTY <br /> SHERIFF'S OFFICE - Peterson made a motion and Hurst seconded to go into <br /> executive session regarding the request for proposals for the software. <br /> Lancaster stated that there are 2 reasons to go into executive session to protect the <br /> public interest or to prevent needless harm or injury to an individual. <br /> Sheriff Conrad was included in the executive session. <br /> Richardson was excused from the meeting <br /> Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted <br /> no. Quandt and Richardson were absent for the vote. <br /> 5 C.)
