Once we have <br /> that information the board would move forward in executive session. Discussion was <br /> held and it would be best to wait until the Drug Court Board meets. No action is <br /> needed. <br /> 4 B) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION APPOINTING AND ELECTION <br /> COMMISSIONER AND APPROVE RESOLUTION SETTING SALARY — Lancaster <br /> stated this is to set the salary for years 2022 through 2025. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to appoint Tracey Overstreet as the <br /> Hall County Election Commissioner. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, <br /> Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried <br /> Deputy County Attorney Sarah Carstensen will prepare an official document for the <br /> appointment of Tracey Overstreet. She noted that the salary has to be set 60 days in <br /> advance this has a different time frame. <br /> Peterson noted an article in the paper regarding the election commissioner in Sarpy <br /> County and there was discussion to decrease the salary by25% because of no <br /> experience and he deputy that has the experience would also have the salary reduced. <br /> There has to be a Republican and a Democrat in those positions. <br /> Quandt stated Hall County is fortunate to have our election commissioner. Lancaster <br /> noted that during budget time they did a salary study and looked at similar counties and <br /> decided a 2% increase would be appropriate and that is what was budgeted. <br /> 2 <br />
