HALL COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING JUNE 22, 2021 <br /> The Hall County Board of Commissioners convened June 22, 2021 by published call in <br /> the County Board meeting room, 121 South Pine Street, Grand Island NE. <br /> CALL TO ORDER- The meeting was called to order by Pam Lancaster <br /> INVOCATION - Richardson gave the invocation <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE —The Pledge was given in unison. <br /> ROLL CALL - Present on roll call were Karen Bredthauer, Butch Hurst, Pam Lancaster, <br /> Gary Quandt, Ron Peterson, Jane Richardson and Scott Sorensen. Also present were <br /> Kim Dugan and Deputy County Attorney Sarah Christensen. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW - This is a public meeting subject to the open <br /> meetings laws of the State of Nebraska. The requirements for an open meeting are <br /> posted on the door to my left and notices are on the front table for your information. <br /> AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —the affidavit of publication was received. <br /> REQUEST TO RESERVE TIME — Chair Lancaster called for anyone regarding a <br /> request to reserve time and no one responded. <br /> Lancaster stated they want to take a time to recognize Dr. and Mrs. McGhan <br /> Presentation — Gary Quandt introduced Dr. and Mrs. McGhan who were teachers at <br /> Northwest High School. Lancaster stated that this has to do with the the courthouse <br /> challenge for the veteran's cemetery. Dr. McGhan stated he taught at Northwest for 3 <br /> decades and wants to address the importance of the military cemetery in Grand Island. <br /> He stated he had classmates that were in the military and came back to Nebraska to be <br /> buried in the veteran's cemetery at Fort McPherson. None of these would have been <br /> buried there if there was a cemetery here. They want to help with the finds for the <br /> militarily cemetery in Grand Island. They presented a check to Don Shuda. Lancaster <br /> thanked them for their service. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA— Peterson made a motion and Sorensen seconded to approve <br /> the following by consent agenda. <br /> 1. Placed on file the minutes of the June 8, 2021 meeting <br /> 2. 16 Approved Resolution #21-022 for the release of pledged securities with <br /> Equitable Bank in the amount of$750,000 <br /> 3. 19 Approved toe 2021 2022 equipment improvement transfer requests <br /> 4. 20 approved the bi weekly pay claims <br /> 5. 22 placed on file the Stuhr Museum minutes <br /> 6. 23 placed on file the Hall County Treasurer's miscellaneous receipts <br /> 1 <br />
