Motion carried. <br /> Jennifer introduced Alicia Lemburg who will serve as her chief deputy. <br /> 2:00 P.M. INTERVIEWS FOR HALL COUNTY BUILDING INSPECTOR <br /> DENISE KOZEL <br /> 1. INTRODUCE YOURSELF <br /> Denise Kozel lived in Grand Island since 1992 and has worked for ECI for 19 years <br /> then with Middleton Elected and Tracy Electric. She has her electrical contractor <br /> license. <br /> 2 WHAT MOTIVATED HER TO APPLY— she said she decided to step away from <br /> being an employer and work independently. She is currently on the board at CPR <br /> and help people get ready for a job. Owing a business is a 24 hour a day job. <br /> 3 WHY IS SHE A GOOD CANIDATE — Denise stated that she approaches problem <br /> from different angles to bet the answer. She was a contractor for 18 years it is more <br /> than being an electrician you have to be able to read and understand every page of <br /> a blueprint and understand all aspects of construction. <br /> 4. BUILDING INSPECTOR REPORTS TO COUNTY BOARD ABILITY TO <br /> MULITASK Denise said you have to prioritize multiple deadlines she has experience <br /> having a family and working managing time and reporting to administration. She <br /> can do that. <br /> 5. CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCECONSTRUCTION she stated that in <br /> construction you have to look at every part of a building understand the kind of <br /> materials and the codes that apply. Have to understand where a building is zoned <br /> and what applies and also know the ratings on buildings. You have to have the <br /> knowledge to save the contractor's time. You can use other resources to answer <br /> questions on what you can or cannot do. <br /> 6. HISTORY IN WORKING WITH BUILDING, PLUMBING AND ELECTRICAL <br /> CODES — she stated that for the last 25 years she has purchased homes and fixed <br /> them up. She has done everyting from gutting a farm house and moving it. You <br /> also have to know about different building methods that have taken place in Hall <br /> County. If you tell her where you live she can tell you the type of home it is. She <br /> understands plumbing and reads cods in her spare time. <br /> 7 EXPERIENCE WITH ZOING REGULATIONS — She has had experience with <br /> zoning codes personally and through her business. You need to understand <br /> elevation because it is a critical thing to make sure it can accommodate the sewer <br /> system. She had had that kind of experience. <br /> 10 <br />
