HALL COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING JANUARY 5, 2021 <br /> The Hall County Board of Commissioners convened January, 2021 by published call in the <br /> County Board meeting room, 121 South Pine Street, Grand Island NE. <br /> CALL TO ORDER-The meeting was called to order by Pam Lancaster <br /> INVOCATION was given by Pam Lancaster. <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE was given in unison. <br /> ROLL CALL - Present on roll call were Karen Bredthauer, Butch Hurst, Pam Lancaster, Gary <br /> Quandt, Ron Peterson, Jane Richardson and Scott Sorensen. Also present were Kim Dugan <br /> and Deputy County Attorney Sarah Christensen. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA— Peterson made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve the <br /> following by consent agenda. <br /> 1. Placed on file the minutes of the December 22, 2020 meeting <br /> 2. 10 Approved the bi weekly pay claims <br /> 3. 11 Approved the early claims <br /> 4. 12 Placed on file the office report from the County Clerk <br /> 5. 13 Placed on file the Hall County Treasurer's miscellaneous receipts <br /> 6. 14 no communications on file <br /> Quandt asked on item #16 for the renewal of the solid waste permit for the Grand Island landfill <br /> need to have the county board do something. <br /> Deputy County Attorney Sarah Carstensen stated she read the documents and it doesn't <br /> appear that the county need to do anything. This is a 5 year renewal process with the State. <br /> Conley provide copies of the original interlocal agreement and a copy of the resolution. <br /> Peterson questioned the length of the permit and it was not stated in the original resolution. <br /> Sarah stated this is the renewal process with the state. The board does not need to take any <br /> action. <br /> The vote on the consent agenda items was taken. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, <br /> Peterson, Richardson and Sorenson all voted yes and none voted no.
