Peterson suggested that the board member look at the applications and the job <br /> description. <br /> Lancaster noted that the applications will be public record. <br /> 15. 8:30 A.M. 1/4/21 ADDED DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO INSTALL <br /> LIGHTS, CLEAN & PAINT 2 STORAGE ROOMS IN BOTTOM OF SAFETY ANNEX <br /> BUILDING — Quandt stated there are 2 rooms that are empty on the bottom floor of the <br /> Courthouse annex and he suggested to clean them up, paint and install new lights and <br /> remove the benches so it necessary the rooms can be used in the future. This is a <br /> slower time of year so work on this. Discussion was held to change the access to the <br /> area so it would have its own entrance. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Peterson seconded to install lights, clean and paint the 2 <br /> storage rooms in the basement of the Courthouse Annex. <br /> Richardson ask it Mr. Humphrey could come back with the cost of the project. Mr. <br /> Humphrey stated that the employees from the park would have time to do this work. <br /> The vote on the motion to clean up the 2 storage rooms was taken. Bredthauer, Hurst, <br /> Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and Sorenson all voted yes and none voted <br /> no. Motion carried. <br /> 16. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO RENEW PERMIT FOR THE GRAND <br /> ISLAND MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE LANDFILL IN HALL COUNTY <br /> This was discussed and she read all of the documents and talked with Mr. Humphrey <br /> Regarding this. This is notice that they are in the process of renewing the landfill permit <br /> with the state of Nebraska. This is a state issue and the county board does not have to <br /> do anything. There is no action required at this time. <br /> Lancaster stated she received an E mail from Attorney Dan Thayer regarding the <br /> condition of a wall. He noted that there is an area behind the door in Judge Corey's <br /> office that has old wallpaper and 2 different colors of paint. She wanted to let Doone <br /> know about this. Mr. Thayer has an interest in the building and would like to see it <br /> done. Mr. Humphrey stated he will get it scheduled and try to get it done. <br /> 5C) EXECUTIVE SESSION REGARDING MENTAL HEALTH HEARINGS - Lancaster <br /> stated that Valorie Bendixen, Tracy Overstreet and Sarah Carstensen will stay for the <br /> executive session. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Sorensen seconded to go into executive session regarding <br /> mental health hearings.
