HALL COUNTY WEED CONTROL <br /> ROBERT SCHULTZ - SUPERINTENDENT <br /> 2807 W 2' ST GRAND ISLAND, NE 68803 <br /> PHONE: 385-5097 FAX: 385-5121 <br /> roberts@hallcountyne.gov <br /> October 5, 2020 <br /> The Hall County Weed Board met on October 5, 2020 for the monthly meeting. <br /> Members present were Francis Hannon, Neal Sidders, Gary Jacobson, Dick Hartman and <br /> Rob Schultz. <br /> The meeting was opened at 3:00 PM. Minutes were read by Gary and approved with a <br /> motion by Neal. Francis seconded. Motion passed. <br /> Claims for October were read and approved with a motion by Francis that was seconded <br /> by Gary. Motion carried. August expenses to date are: $6,201.63 and income was <br /> $944.20. <br /> Public Participation: Wayne Thesenvitz was in attendance. He is considering applying <br /> for the empty Weed Board seat. Rob gave out some "Weeds of the Great Plains"books <br /> for Weed Board members to give away or use. There are more books to give out if <br /> needed. <br /> Old Business: <br /> • Platte River Resilience Fund update: Rob is a member. He is attending meetings <br /> via ZOOM. Fund raising is beginning to take place. <br /> • The Hall County Board of Commissioners will be taking applications for a new <br /> Weed Board member until October 30th <br /> New Business: <br /> • PVWMA update: PVWMA is spraying with drones and helicopter on the Platte <br /> River. Airboat has sprayed on the Platte River and on the Loup River. PVWMA <br /> has received $207,000.00 in grants. <br /> • Fall spraying of phragmites is getting started and will continue until frost. <br /> • 10 Day Notices were sent out to Ted Robb, Jerome Schoel and Michael Jones. <br /> A motion to adjourn was made by Francis and seconded by Gary. Motion carried. <br /> The next meeting will be held Monday,November 2, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. <br /> Gary Jacobson, Secretary <br />
