MICHELLE STEHLIK HALL COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY <br /> ANNOUNCEMENT Michelle Stehlik with the Hall county Historical Society stated that <br /> they have been working on a project that will benefit all of Hall County. This is their <br /> largest project to. They have completed the fund raising to digitalize all of the 20 old <br /> newspaper in Hall County. They will now all be available online and free of charge to <br /> anyone who wants to look at them. They did the project in batches and now it will be <br /> available. This involved the Shelton Clipper, Doniphan Herald, Grand Island <br /> Independent, Wood River and the Library. <br /> She also stated they are busy completing the Pioneer Park project. This was the site of <br /> the first County Court House and in 1907 there was a fountain installed in the park. <br /> They were work to restore it to the original condition and it will be dedicated July 4, <br /> 2021. They are putting historical markers in Wood River and a marker for the 1980 <br /> Grand Island tornado. They also have all of their programing on line. They next big <br /> project will be a large street clock on third street. The Hall County Historical Society is <br /> the oldest society in the State of Nebraska. She also noted that the Liederkranz will 150 <br /> years old. <br /> Quandt thanked her for her work these are fantastic projects. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chair Lancaster called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 4.
