PROCLAMATION#019- 053 <br /> PROCLAIMING MAY 23RD THRU MAY 27TH,2019 <br /> AS VETERAN'S APPRECIATION WEEK <br /> WHEREAS; the people of Hall County have a long standing appreciation for the valor, service and sacrifice of <br /> veterans and acknowledge the impact of their service on the lives of family members, <br /> neighbors and friends of Hall County; and <br /> WHEREAS; Hall Counties long standing history of veteran service is well documented. We appreciate those <br /> who served and never returned and many, whose lives were forever altered from the Civil War, <br /> war to end all wars, World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam War, as well as Gulf War <br /> deployments around the world to Iraq, Afghanistan and countless others by air, land and sea in <br /> support of the United States; and <br /> WHEREAS; service has been long demonstrated over the years from the Hall County Cornhusker <br /> Ammunition Plant, Hall County Veterans Service Office, Red Cross and the Veterans <br /> Administration Medical Center. The long standing presence of the Nebraska National Guard <br /> and this Counties unique pledge of support to the mission of the Nebraska Army Aviation <br /> Facility and Armory; and <br /> WHEREAS; Hall County will be the Nebraska destination this Memorial Day weekend to pay tribute to <br /> liberty and service of all veterans and especially those who's service may have been <br /> unappreciated during the Vietnam War. The United Veterans Club and the Hall County <br /> Veterans Park will host the American Veterans traveling tribute wall ... a 360 foot replica <br /> of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial which recognizes the 58,000 men and women we lost in <br /> the Vietnam War, including seven from Hall County and 388 others from Nebraska; and <br /> WHEREAS; the American Veterans Traveling Tribute Wall is a free, public event staffed by volunteers, <br /> around the clock, to provide a means for others to witness its display May 23rd thru May 27th <br /> 2019. <br /> NOW THEREFORE; be it resolved that the Hall County Board of Supervisors meeting on this 14th day of May, <br /> 2019 go on record as proclaiming the week of May 23rd thru May 27th, 2019 as Hall <br /> County Veterans Appreciation Week. <br /> RESOLUTION MOVED BY 1.=- Ou.c(44_,1 <br /> SECONDED BY k,% ea ak t r <br /> Vote: <br /> Supervisor Bredthauer: For ; Against ; Abstained ; Not Present <br /> Supervisor Hartman: For ` ; Against ; Abstained ;Not Present . <br /> Supervisor Hurst: For y ; Against ; Abstained ; Not Present <br /> Supervisor Lancaster: For ; Against ; Abstained ; Not Present . <br /> Supervisor Peterson: For ; Against ; Abstained ; Not Present <br /> Supervisor Quandt: For ; Against ; Abstained ; Not Present <br /> Supervisor Richardson: For J( ; Against ; Abstained ;Not Present <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 7th DAY OF May, 2019. <br /> ALL •UNTY BO ' P O UPERVISORS <br /> Pamela E.
