HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING APRIL 16, 2019 <br /> The Hall County Board of Supervisors convened April 16, 2019 by published call in the County <br /> Board meeting room, 121 South Pine, Grand Island. <br /> CALL TO ORDER -The meeting was called to order by Chair Pam Lancaster. <br /> INVOCATION - Invocation was given by Jane Richardson. <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE —The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> ROLL CALL - Present on roll call were Karen Bredthauer, Dick Hartman, Butch Hurst, Pamela <br /> Lancaster, Ron Peterson Gary Quandt and Jane Richardson also present were Deputy <br /> County Attorney Sarah Carstensen. <br /> VIDEO FROM GOOD MORNING AMERICA <br /> This is a video showing the crane migration in Hall County that was viewed on Good Morning <br /> America. <br /> Brad Melama with CVB was present and distributed information regarding the cranes to the <br /> Board members. He noted that they partner with other publications and organizations. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW— Chair Lancaster read the notice of open meeting law. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION - The affidavit of publication was received. <br /> REQUEST TO RESERVE TIME — Lancaster stated that if anyone from the audience has a <br /> request to reserve time to come forwards and no one responded. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA— Bredthauer made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the <br /> following by consent agenda. <br /> 1. Placed on file the minutes of the April 2, 2019 meeting <br /> 2. 16 Approved the reduction of the building permits for Hall County flood victims up to 50% <br /> of the cost effective for 12 months <br /> 3. 18 Placed on file the request of Hall County Communications worker of America to <br /> negotiate new labor agreement with Hall County <br /> 4. 19 Placed on file the resolutions for pledged collateral for the Hall County Treasurer for <br /> Five Points Bank numbers 19-041 to 19-049 <br /> 5. 21 Placed on file the quarterly report of Household Library cards <br /> 6. 29 Approved the bi weekly pay claims and regular claims <br /> 7. 30 Placed on file the office reports from the County Sheriff, Assessor Register of Deeds <br /> and County Clerk <br /> 8. 31 Placed on file the Hall County Treasurer's miscellaneous receipts <br /> 9. 32 Placed on file communications <br /> Hartman questioned why just Five Points Bank is used and County Treasurer Alaina Verplank <br /> stated that this is the working checking account she has dollars deposited in every bank in town. <br /> The reason she does this is because Five Points Bank pays interest on the account. To date <br /> she has received about $90,000.00 interest for Hall County. <br /> Lancaster stated that now the county receives interest so this was a good change. <br /> 1 <br />
