9:05 A.M. Held a Board of Equalization meeting. <br /> 9:19 a.m. recessed the Board of Equalization meeting the board will hold the executive sessions <br /> at the end of the regular meeting. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION — Chair Lancaster called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 4. COUNTY ATTORNEY— DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING LEASE ON <br /> FARM LAND Sarah Carstensen requested to hold an executive session and Mr. Travis <br /> Rainforth would like to address the board after the executive session regarding the farm lease. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to go into executive session regarding the <br /> farm lease. This executive session is to protect the public interest and prevent needless harm <br /> to an individual. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt Peterson and Richardson all <br /> voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 9:21 a.m. executive session <br /> 9:39 a.m. Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to go out of executive session. <br /> Lancaster stated that no other subject were discussed no votes were taken and no action was <br /> taken. She also stated that County Attorney Marty Klein was also present for the executive <br /> session. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt Peterson and Richardson all voted <br /> yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Travis Rainforth 13251 South 90th Road stated he is currently leasing the property and he has <br /> not paid the lease. He has mad arrangement to pay what is past due. He had worked with Jack <br /> Zitterkopf and he had reminded in the past to get the payment in. The next payment is due <br /> March 1.2019 if he wants to continue the lease. He expressed concern on access to the <br /> property. Part of the road was under water and he contacted the adjoining land owner and they <br /> did build up the road. The state did spray the river bank for pragmities. He expressed concern <br /> that there needs to be some work done on the river bank. He expressed concern that he needs <br /> to have a contact person if anything needs attention. <br /> Quandt quested who he had contacted and he stated he had contacted Mr. Zitterkopf and Mr. <br /> Sherlock and Mr. Riehle. <br /> Lancaster clarified that he would be able to pay the funds by the end of the week. Discussion <br /> was held and Mr. Hartman stated that Mr. Rainforth can contact him and he will take the <br /> responsibility. <br /> Bredthauer made a motion and Quandt seconded to place the payment of the farm lease on the <br /> February 19, 2019 agenda to make sure it is paid. . Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, <br /> Quandt Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 7. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE 2018 HALL COUNTY AUDIT - Kayla <br /> Schulte and Brad Fegley were present. Mr. Fegley works with the County Board on the budget <br /> and Lutz does the audits so there is a separation of the jobs.
