HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING NOVEMBER 27, 2018 9: 05 a.m. Quandt made a motion and Lanfear seconded to go into a Board of Equalization meeting. ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Karen Bredthauer, Pamela Lancaster, Douglas Lanfear, Gary Quandt, and Jane Richardson and Steve Schuppan. Also present was County Treasurer Alain Verplank. NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW— Chair Richardson read the notice of the open meeting law. VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION — The affidavit of publication was received. MINUTES —Lancaster made a motion and Lanfear seconded to approve the minutes of the November 13, 2018 meeting. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chair Richardson called for public participation and no one responded. COUNTY TREASURER DISCUSS & APPROVE EXEMPTION FOR GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF GREATER NEBRASKA - County Treasurer Alain Verplank presented the exemption application for Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska, 1804 South Eddy, Grand Island for a 2018 Chevrolet Cruz and a 2017 Chevrolet Caravan to be used for picking up and taking home clients, and for the support of clients activities and training.. She has approved the exemption application as per Nebraska State statute 77-202 and is requesting that the County Board approve. Lancaster made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the exemption application for Goodwill Industries for a 2018 Chevrolet Cruz and for a 2018 Chevrolet Caravan. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS - Chair Richardson called for new or unfinished business and no one responded. Meeting adjourned at 9:13 a.m. returned to the regular meeting.
