HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING OCTOBER 30, 2018 <br /> 9: 05 a.m. Arnold made a motion and Lanfear seconded to go into a Board of <br /> Equalization meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Karen Bredthauer, <br /> Pamela Lancaster, Douglas Lanfear, Gary Quandt, and Jane Richardson and Steve <br /> Schuppan. Also present was County Assessor Kristi Wold. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW— Chair Richardson read the notice of the open <br /> meeting law. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —The affidavit of publication was received. <br /> MINUTES —Lancaster made a motion and Lanfear seconded to approve the minutes of <br /> the October 16, 2018 meeting. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chair Richardson called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 3. COUNTY TREASURER — A) DISCUSS & APPROVE EXEMPTION FOR <br /> OVERLAND TRAILS COUNCIL BOY SCOUTS FOR A 2011 CHEVROLET PICKUP — <br /> County Treasurer Alaina Verplank was presented the exemption application for <br /> Overland Trails Boy Scouts, PO Box 1361, Grand Island for a 2011 Chevrolet Pickup to <br /> be used for pulling dump trailer and enclosed trailer at Camp Augustine and used off <br /> Camp Augustine for pulling enclosed trailer for council business. This was approved by <br /> Deputy County Treasurer Stacey Sliva as per Nebraska State Statute 77-202. She is <br /> requesting a motion from the County Board to approve. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the exemption application <br /> for Boy Scouts of America for the 2011 Chevrolet pickup. Arnold, Bredthauer, <br /> Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted <br /> no. Motion carried. <br /> 4. EXECUTIVE SESSION REGARDING TERC APPEALS DIXON & WALK <br /> DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION — Lancaster made a motion and Arnold seconded <br /> to go into executive session regarding the TERC appeals. Richardson stated there are <br /> two reasons for an executive session to prevent needles harm or injury to an individual <br /> and to protect the public interest. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 9:10 a.m. executive session <br /> 9:23 a.m. Lancaster made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to go out of executive <br /> session. no other subjects were discussed no votes were taken and no action was <br />
