HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING AUGUST 21, 2018 <br /> 9: 05 a.m. Lanfear made a motion and Quandt seconded to go into a Board of Equalization <br /> meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Karen Bredthauer, Pamela <br /> Lancaster, Douglas Lanfear, Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve Schuppan. Also <br /> present was Alaina Verplank County Treasurer. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW—Chair Richardson read the notice of the open meeting <br /> law. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —The affidavit of publication was received. <br /> MINUTES — Lanfear made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve the minutes of the <br /> August 7, 2018 meeting. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chair Richardson called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 3. COUNTY TREASURER — A) DISCUSS & APPROVE EXEMPTION FOR GOODWILL <br /> INDUSTRIES OF GREATER NEBRASKA FOR A 2014 INTERNATIONAL TRACTOR - County <br /> Treasurer Alaina Verplank presented the exemption application for Goodwill Industries of <br /> Greater Nebraska, 1104 South Lincoln Grand Island for a 2014 International Tractor to be used <br /> for hauling and collecting donations that support their disability programs. <br /> 4. DISCUSS & APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR THE FAMILY OF THE GOOD <br /> SHEPHERD INC. FOR A 2004 CHEVROLET—she also presented the exemption application <br /> for The Family of the good Shepherd Inc. 611 North Broadwell for a 2004 Chevrolet van to be <br /> used toctransport those in constricted life and to transport children who are placed in the home. <br /> She has approved these exemption applications as per Nebraska State Statute 77-202 and is <br /> requesting a motion from the County Board to approve. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lancaster seconded to approve the exemption applications for <br /> Goodwill Industries and for the Family of the Good Shepherd Inc. Arnold, Bredthauer, <br /> Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS —Chair Richardson called for new or unfinished business <br /> and no one responded. <br /> 9:16 a.m. Returned to the regular meeting. <br /> Marla J. onley Ha I County Cler wi i PA <br />
