HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING JULY 10, 2018 9: 05 a.m. Lanfear made a motion and Arnold seconded to go into a Board of Equalization meeting. ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Karen Bredthauer, Pamela Lancaster, Douglas Lanfear, Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve Schuppan. NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW— Chair Richardson read the notice of the open meeting law. VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —The affidavit of publication was received. MINUTES — Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve the minutes of the June 26, 2018 meeting. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt and Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chair Richardson called for public participation and no one responded. 3. COUNTY ASSESSOR — DISCUSS & APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION FROM THIRD CITY ARCHERS, INC. (LATE PENALTY ASSESSMENT) — County Assessor Kristi Wold was present this application was due December 31, 2018 and they have until June 30th to file the application. If it is not received there is a 10% penalty or $100.00 per month charged or whatever is the least amount. This was received May 18, 2018 so there would be $100.00 a month penalty assigned. Mr. Quandt quested if the County Board could waive this penalty and Ms. Wold stated that the penalty is set by state statute. Arnold made a motion and Lanfear seconded to approve the exemption application and assess the $500.00 late fee penalty. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt and Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS — Chair Richardson called for new or unfinished business and no one responded.
