HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING JUNE 26, 2018 <br /> 9: 05 a.m. Quandt made a motion and Arnold seconded to go into a Board of Equalization <br /> meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Karen Bredthauer, Pamela <br /> Lancaster, Douglas Lanfear, Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve Schuppan. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW—Chair Richardson read the notice of the open meeting <br /> law. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —The affidavit of publication was received. <br /> MINUTES — Lanfear made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve the minutes of the <br /> June 12, 2018 meeting. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt and Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chair Richardson called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 3. COUNTY TREASURER — A) DISCUSS & APPROVE EXEMPTION FOR MID- <br /> PLAINS CENTER FOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES INC. FOR A 2014 FORD <br /> Deputy County Treasurer Alaina Verplank presented the exemption application for Mid <br /> Plains Center, 615 North Elm, Grand Island for a 2014 /Ford 4/Dr to be used to provide <br /> non secure transport for youth in Nebraska at request of State Patrol. County Treasurer <br /> Peg Pesek has approved this exemption application as per Nebraska State Statute 77- <br /> 202. <br /> B) DISCUSS &APPROVE EXEMPTION —APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION <br /> FOR MOSAIC FOR A 2018 TOYOTA AND A 2018 DODGE CARAVAN — She also <br /> presented the exemption application for Mosaic. 2846 Old Fair Road, Grand Island, for <br /> a 2018 Toyota minivan and for a 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan these vehicles are to be <br /> used to transport disabled individuals in Mosaic services for outings, shopping, work, <br /> appointment, etc. County Treasurer Peg Pesek has approved this exemption <br /> application as per Nebraska State Statute 77-202. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the exemption applications <br /> for Mid-Plains Center and for Mosaic. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt and <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried <br /> 4. COUNTY ASSESSOR - DISCUSS AND TAKE ACTION ON NEW EXEMPTION <br /> APPLICATION FOR THIRD CITY ARCHERS - County Assessor Kristi Wold presented <br /> the exemption application for Third City Archers, 317 North Elm. This is to be used as a <br /> storage warehouse, it was gutted remodeled and re-opened as an indoor archery range. <br /> They are requesting to use the exempt status as educational. She has approved this as <br /> per Nebraska State Statue 77-202 but she assessed a $500.00 penalty because it was <br />
