2018 Changes
All Agland went down 8%
• We did find multiple parcels that had unjustified spot codes on them.
Since there was no explanation as to why they were there, the State
advised that they be removed.
Rural Residential Change:
• 1st acre = No Change
• 2-5 acres had a 1000 dollar increase = 5000 per acre
• 5+ acres had a 1000 dollar increase = 4000 per acre
Grand Island Residential went up 5%
Cairo Residential went up 5%
Alda Residential went down 9%
Commercial:
• 528 (Service Repair Garages) had a 3% increase
• 344 (Office Buildings) had a 4% increase
• 325 (Multi-Family) had a 16% increase.
➢ Some 325s received a 10% increase in 2017...1 could not justify a 26%
increase in 2 years. So, I removed the 10% from 2017 and kept the
16% for this year. Therefore, the multi-family units that received the
10% last year only, technically, went up 6% this year.
• Downtown commercials should not have changed at all, unless there was
permit work done. Because the downtown area is still messed up from the
debacle a couple years ago.
