HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING MAY 15, 2018 9: 05 a.m. Lancaster made a motion and Lanfear seconded to go into a Board of Equalization meeting. ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Karen Bredthauer, Pamela Lancaster, Douglas Lanfear, Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve Schuppan. NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW— Chair Richardson read the notice of the open meeting law. VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —The affidavit of publication was received. MINUTES —Lanfear made a motion and Arnold seconded to approve the minutes of the May 1, 2018 meeting. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chair Richardson called for public participation and no one responded. 3 COUNTY ASSESSOR - HEARING FOR OVERVALUED, UNDERVALUED AND OMITTED PROPERTY - County Assessor Kristi Wold stated that according to state statute 77-1315.01 and 77-1317 they have reviewed properties and has provided the board with a list of the assessed value changes. She provided the board with a copy of the overvalued, undervalued and omitted properties that they have made corrections on. Arnold made a motion and Lancaster seconded to approve the overvalued, undervalued and omitted property valuation changes. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. Ms. Wold explained that this is not a public hearing but it has to be advertised so the public is aware that these changes are to be made and the County Board of Equalization has the authority to approve them. 4. AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN REPORT FOR OVERVALUED, UNDERVALUED OR OMITTED PROPERTY - Lanfear made a motion and Arnold seconded to authorize the chair to sign the overvalued, undervalued or omitted property report. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. 5. TAX CORRECTION NOTICES #5288 TO #5313 — Ms. Wold presented tax correction notices #5288 to#5313 requesting a motion for the Board to accept and authorize the chair to initial.
