HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING APRIL 3, 2018 <br /> 9: 05 a.m. Lanfear made a motion and Arnold seconded to go into a Board of Equalization <br /> meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE— Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Karen Bredthauer, Pamela <br /> Lancaster, Douglas Lanfear, Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve Schuppan. Also <br /> present was County Attorney Sarah Carstensen. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW—Chair Richardson read the notice of the open meeting <br /> law. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —The affidavit of publication was received. <br /> MINUTES — Bredthauer made a motion and Lanfear seconded to approve the minutes of the <br /> March 20, 2018 meeting. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chair Richardson called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> COUNTY TREASURER— A) DISCUSS & APPROVE EXEMPTION FOR GOODWILL <br /> INDUSTRIES OF GREATER NEBRASKA FOR TWO 2017 DODGE CARAVANS —County <br /> Treasurer Peg Pesek presented the application from Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska, <br /> 1804 South Eddy, Grand Island, for two 2017 Dodge Grand Caravans to be used for picking up <br /> and taking home clients and for support of clients activities. <br /> B) DISCUSS & APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR DIOCESE OF GRAND ISLAND <br /> FOR A 2016 FORD EXPLORER -This exemption application is for the Diocese of Grand Island, <br /> 2708 Old Fair Road, Grand Island, for a 2016 Ford Explorer to be used for non-profit religious, <br /> educational and charitable purposes. She has approved these exemption applications as per <br /> Nebraska State Statute 77-202 and is asking for a motion from the County Board to approve. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the exemption application from <br /> Goodwill Industries and the Diocese of Grand Island. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, <br /> Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no.
