HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING MARCH 6, 2018 <br /> 9: 05 a.m. Arnold made a motion and Schuppan seconded to go into a Board of Equalization <br /> meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE— Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Karen Bredthauer, Pamela <br /> Lancaster, Douglas Lanfear, Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve Schuppan. Also <br /> present was County Attorney Sarah Carstensen. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW— Chair Richardson read the notice of the open meeting <br /> law. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —The affidavit of publication was received. <br /> MINUTES — Lancaster made a motion and Schuppan seconded to approve the minutes of the <br /> February 20, 2018 meeting. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chair Richardson called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 3. COUNTY TREASURER— a) DISCUSS & APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR <br /> TRINITY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH —County Treasurer Peg Pesek presented the <br /> exemption application for Trinity United Methodist Church, 511 North Elm, Grand Island for an H <br /> & H Trailer to be used to haul supplies to Loaves & Fishes Food Bank. She has approved this <br /> exemption application as per Nebraska State Statute 77-202 and is asking for a motion from the <br /> board to approve. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the exemption application from <br /> Trinity United Methodist Church for the H &H Trailer. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, <br /> Quandt, and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Richardson abstained since she is on <br /> the board of directors. Motion carried. <br /> 4. COUNTY ASSESSOR APPROVE APPLICATIONS FOR PERMISSIVE EXEMPTIONS AND <br /> ASSESS LATE FEE <br /> EXEMPTION APPLICATION Nebraska District Church of the Nazarene, 2815 O'Shea Drive, <br /> Grand Island to be used for Christian Education and worship services County Assessor has <br /> approved as per Nebraska State Statute 77-202 <br /> Parcel ID 400020653 1124 North Broadwell, $200.00 late fee <br /> EXEMPTION APPLICATION - Grand Island Seventh Day Adventist Church, 636 S Shady Bend <br /> Road, to be used for overflow parking, school playground &future site of new church building <br /> County Assessor has approved as per Nebraska State Statute 77-202 <br /> #400389711 $200 late fee Kristi stated that the representative wanted to attend but they were <br /> unable to contact him <br /> STATEMENT OF REAFFIRMATION OF TAX EXEMPTION St Mary's Church & Rectory, <br /> #400080753 201 South Elm, $200.00 late fee <br /> #400007215 502 West Division, $200.00 late fee <br /> #400406195 % of vacated street ADJ to BLK 86 $200.00 late fee <br /> $400406187 1/2 of vacated Division St ADJ to LTS 1-2-3-4 BLK 100 $200.00 late fee <br />
