HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING FEBRUARY 6, 2018 <br /> 9: 05 a.m. Lanfear made a motion and Arnold seconded to go into a Board of Equalization <br /> meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE— Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Karen Bredthauer, Pamela <br /> Lancaster, Douglas Lanfear, Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve Schuppan. Also <br /> present was County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW—Chair Richardson read the notice of the open meeting <br /> law. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —The affidavit of publication was received. <br /> MINUTES — Schuppan made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve the minutes of the <br /> January 23, 2018 meeting. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chair Richardson called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 3. COUNTY TREASURER — a) DISCUSS &APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR <br /> IGLESIA DE DIOS EBENEZER FOR A 2000 BLUEBIRD BUS — County Treasurer Peg <br /> presented the exemption application for Iglesia de Dios Ebenezer 502 East Capital <br /> Avenue, Grand Island, for a 2000 Bluebird bus. This bus will be used to transport <br /> people to and from church and also for men, women and youth retreats. She as <br /> approved the exemption application as per Nebraska State Statute 77-202. <br /> This exemption application from Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska, 1140 S <br /> Lincoln Avenue, Grad Island, is for 3 Wabash-Nation 2002 semi-trailers to be used for <br /> hauling/collecting donations that support our disability programs. She has approved this <br /> exemption application as per Nebraska State Statute 77-2020 and is request a motion <br /> from the County Board to approve the exemption applications as stated. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lancaster seconded to approve the exemption applications <br /> from Iglesia de Dios Ebenezer for the 2000 Bluebird bus and for Goodwill Industries for <br /> the 3 Wabash-Nation semi-trailers. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no.
