HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING JANUARY 23, 2018 <br /> 9: 05 a.m. Lanfear made a motion and Arnold seconded to go into a Board of Equalization <br /> meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Karen Bredthauer, Pamela <br /> Lancaster, Douglas Lanfear, Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve Schuppan. Also <br /> present was County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW— Chairman Richardson read the notice of the open <br /> meeting law. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —The affidavit of publication was received. <br /> MINUTES — Bredthauer made a motion and Arnold seconded to approve the minutes of the <br /> January 9 2018 meeting. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chairman Richardson called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 3 COUNTY TREASURER— a) DISCUSS & APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR <br /> GOODWILL INDUSTRIES FOR A 2002 WABASH-NATION SEMI TRAILER—County Treasurer <br /> Peg Pesek received the application from Goodwill for a 2002 Wabash-Nation semi-trailer to be <br /> used for hauling and collecting donations for programs. <br /> b) DISCUSS &APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR OVERLAND TRAILS COUNCIL <br /> FOR THE FOLLOWING: <br /> a) 2008 Dodge van <br /> b)1997 Ford Pickup <br /> c) 1989 Ford Pickup <br /> d) 2014 Haulmark trailer <br /> e) 2015 Kaufman trailer <br /> The application from Overland Trails Council is for the above listed vehicles and trailer to be <br /> used for operations at Camp Augustine. <br /> c) DISCUSS &APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR THE SALVATION ARMY FOR A <br /> 2015 FORD—This application is for a 2015 Ford pickup to be used for community events <br /> transporting bell ringers and Christmas kettles <br /> d) DISCUSS &APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR MID NEBRASKA INDIVIDUAL <br /> SERVICES FOR A H&H TRAILER—This application is for a 2018 H&H Trailer to be used to <br /> provide services for individuals. County Treasurer Ped Pesek has approved these applications <br /> as per Nebraska State Statute 77-202 and is requesting a motion from the County Board to <br /> approve. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Arnold seconded to approve the exemption applications as stated. <br /> Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and <br /> none voted no. Motion carried. <br />
