HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING DECEMBER 12, 2017 <br /> 9: 05 a.m. Lanfear made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to go into a Board of <br /> Equalization meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Karen Bredthauer, <br /> Pamela Lancaster, Douglas Lanfear, Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve <br /> Schuppan. Also present was County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW— Chairman Lancaster read the notice of the open <br /> meeting law. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION — The affidavit of publication was received. <br /> MINUTES — Richardson made a motion and Arnold seconded to approve the minutes of <br /> the November 28, 2017 meeting. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chairman Lancaster called for public participation and no <br /> one responded. <br /> 3. COUNTY TREASURER — DISCUSS AND APPROVE EXEMPTION <br /> APPLICATIONS — Deputy County Treasurer Alaina Verplank read the following <br /> applications. <br /> A) ORPHAN GRAIN TRAIN FOR A 2013 FORD F250 PICKUP —This is for Orphan <br /> Grain Train, PO Box 545, Grand Island, NE for a 213 pickup to be used for fund <br /> raising activities and collection of clothing, medical donations. <br /> B) ORPHAN GRAIN TRAIN FORA 2018 H & H TRAILER —This is fora 2018 H & <br /> H Trailer to be used for collection of clothing and medical donations to be <br /> distributed to those in need. <br /> C) THIRD CITY CHRISTIAN CHURCH FOR A 2005 INTERNATIONAL BUS —this a <br /> 2005 International bus to be used primarily for nonprofit Connect Program and <br /> for other ministries of Third City Christian Church. <br /> County Treasurer Peg Pesek has approved these exemption applications as per <br /> Nebraska State Statute 77-202 and is requesting a motion from the County Board to <br /> approve. <br /> Bredthauer made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the exemption application <br /> for Orphan Grain Train for a 2013 ford pickup and a 2018 H & H Trailer and for Third <br /> City Christian Church for a 2005 International bus. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, <br /> Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br /> carried. <br />
