HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING JULY 25, 2017 <br /> 9:05 a.m. Lanfear made a motion and Schuppan seconded to go into a Board of Equalization <br /> meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE— Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Karen Bredthauer, Pamela <br /> Lancaster, Douglas Lanfear, Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve Schuppan. Also <br /> present were County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf, Stacey Ruzicka and County Assessor Jan <br /> Pelland. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW— Chairman Lancaster read the notice of the open meeting <br /> law. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —The affidavit of publication was received. <br /> MINUTES - Richardson made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve the minutes of the <br /> July 11, 2017 meeting. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chairman Lancaster called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 5. COUNTY ASSESSOR— DISCUS &APPROVE LATE HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION <br /> APPLICATIONS FILED DURING 20 DAY EXTENSION PERIOD - County Assessor Jan Pelland <br /> noted that the board approved this extension and she received the following applications during <br /> the 20 day extension. <br /> JoAnn Donahue, 4168 Vermont avenue, Grand Island submitted letter and requested that that <br /> her exemption be approved. <br /> Jayne Blank, 1410 South Lincoln, Grand Island stated she was out of stated and missed the <br /> dealing and is requesting that her exemption be accepted. <br /> Janelle Lindburg, 4222 Nevada Avenue , Grand Island, requested that her exemption be <br /> accepted <br /> Shirley Leth 623 West 14th stated she missed the deadline and is requesting that her exemption <br /> be accepted. <br /> Jerald & Georgia Overstreet, 213 West 21st Street, stated that he was in the hospital and <br /> missed the deadline and is requesting that it be approved. <br /> Jody Purdie, 4231 Nevada Avenue, Grand Island, Pelland stated that she was not sure if this <br /> application would go through because there was no income information provided the income <br /> form was sent to Douglas Bookkeeping. <br /> Gloria Trejo 2216 W Oklahoma Avenue, Grand Island is requesting that her application be <br /> accepted. <br /> Richard and Ruth Osborne Pelland stated that they sent a letter to them to bring in the <br /> application and the income information and left messages but they have not returned any forms. <br />
